Designed in-house and manufactured in Taiwan to exacting standards, the Turin Hobo is the dedicated gravel bike in our house brand frame family. Going straight to the source allowed us to produce some high quality frames (think Surly, All-city) at a much lower price point for you, the customer. This frame has been built up with flat bars and a 1x9 Drivetrain well suited for city and trail riding.

The perfect entry into gravel-riding, combining the iconic U.P. frame with the most versatile gravel groupset on the market; Campagnolo Ekar 1x13. It comes with a 13-speed 9-42T cassette, 38T chainring to match the 9T starting cog, Ergopower brake levers, and 160mm flat-mount brakes. The rest of the spec is first-rate too. HED’s top-level alloy gravel wheelset, the Emporia GA Pro, 3T Apto stem and Superergo LTD carbon bars, made-in-Europe Selle Italia Model X saddle, and full carbon Wuthocker seatpost.

WHAT IS THE U.P.(P.E.R.)? - With road tires, it is a very fast road bike -With big road/cross/gravel tires (32-40mm), it’s a go-anywhere bike perfect for mixed surface rides and most gravel routes -With 650b mountain bike tires, it's unstoppable on very tough terrain yet much faster on pavement than you'd expect thanks to the road position

Why does that gravel bike have mountain bike tires? Have you ever seen a brown bike before? What's the deal with airplane food - I mean is this stuff bad or what? This bike raises a lot of questions in the shop and certainly turns a lot of heads. Open continues to push the envelope on what a gravel bike can be, and this is a shining example of that. HUGE tire clearance, super lightweight (and super comfortable) carbon layup, and iconic minimalist tubing and graphics. This bike looks so much fun standing still, and can handle basically anything short of downhill mountain bike trails. The Campagnolo Ekar group provides some very smooth shifting and is, in our opinion, one of the most sensible 1x setups out there with its largest 3 cassette cogs acting essentially as "bailout gears" for those especially tough climbs. Cinelli’s hybridized vision of the classic steel Randonée bike, fine-tuned for riders for whom fast and practical commuting is the ultimate priority without neglecting the versatile design details that make the bike weekend-adventure ready. This sporty bike from Cinelli is a wonderful all-arounder at a reasonable price. The Gazzetta Della Strada has no problem making the switch from weekday grocery getter to weekend gravel grinder. The steel frame looks great and feels better, and the disc brakes inspire confidence on any terrain. The Apero was a new kind of gravel machine. The Aspero-5 is faster, lighter, and even better looking. This build features Cervelo's aero-carbon cockpit. It features aggressive enough geometry that could adapt to a second wheelset and ride the road too.

"Our engineers like to joke that, "if it looks fast, it probably is." But there’s some truth to that, and Áspero-5 looks fast standing still. No cables in the wind, tube shapes from our aerodynamically-proven library, and a hint of a cut-out in the seat tube, all add up to a bike that proves the adage." FEATURES: Lightweight Speed: Some might say aero doesn’t matter on a gravel bike, but if you’ve battled a headwind across an open prairie, the thirty-two grams of drag you’ll save with the Áspero-5 come as a welcome respite. Most gravel racing is done without the benefit of a World Tour peloton—or World Tour tactics—and when it’s your nose in the wind all day, it’s nice to know your bike’s shouldering a bit of the load. Two-Position Adjustment: Trail—front-wheel response to rider input—is the most critical factor in high-velocity handling. Flipping the two-position "Trail Mixer" to compensate for the difference in circumference between a 650b and 700c tire maintains consistent handling by maintaining consistent trail figures. Multiple Configurations: We designed Aspero to fit most 700c x 42mm or 650b x 49mm wheel/tire combinations. Of course, there are variables—rim width, tire casing, and tread depth—which will affect final clearance. We (and the International Organization for Standardization, or ISO), always recommend 4mm of clearance between the tire and frame
